The music of Brooklyn’s Yeasayer can be an eclectic, genre-bending journey into pop, rock, Middle Eastern and African musics, folk, and dub. Vocalist/keyboardist Chris Keating and vocalist/guitarist Anand Wilder had been both elevated in Baltimore, where they honed their vocal abilities inside a barbershop quartet and performed inside a high-school music group, Sic Transit, before departing town to wait different schools.
